American whiskey
American whiskey is a distilled alcoholic beverage made primarily from fermented grain mash. The main types include bourbon, made mostly from corn; rye, which has a spicier flavor from rye grain; and Tennessee whiskey, known for its charcoal filtering process. To be classified as bourbon, it must be produced in the U.S., aged in new charred oak barrels, and made from at least 51% corn. The aging process and ingredients contribute to the whiskey's unique flavors and aromas. American whiskey is often enjoyed neat, on the rocks, or in cocktails.
