American Crocodile
The American crocodile is a large reptile found primarily in coastal areas of the Americas, particularly in the Caribbean and parts of Florida, Central America, and South America. It has a long, slender body with a broad snout and can grow up to 15 feet long. Unlike alligators, American crocodiles prefer saltwater habitats and are known for their light gray-green color. They are typically shy and elusive but are powerful predators, feeding on fish, birds, and small mammals. Conservation efforts are underway, as their populations are threatened by habitat loss and hunting.
