Aloha Model

The Aloha Model is a pioneering method for managing computer network communications, particularly in wireless environments. It allows multiple devices to send data over the same channel. In simple terms, devices transmit data whenever they have something to send. If two devices send simultaneously, a collision occurs, leading to a failure. To resolve this, each device waits a random amount of time before trying again. This approach helps prevent constant collisions and ensures fair access to the network. The Aloha Model laid the foundation for modern network protocols and is integral to techniques like Wi-Fi and cellular communications.
