Alevi
Alevi is a distinct cultural and religious community primarily found in Turkey and parts of the Middle East. Rooted in Islamic traditions, Alevism emphasizes the teachings of Ali, the cousin and son-in-law of Prophet Muhammad, and values moral integrity, social justice, and community life. Unlike mainstream Sunni and Shia Islam, Alevis often practice their faith through rituals in communal gathering places called cem houses rather than mosques. They have unique beliefs, including the importance of internal spirituality over external rituals, and celebrate various festivals that reflect their cultural heritage. Alevism is characterized by its rich traditions and a commitment to inclusivity.
