
Al-Zahrawi (Abulcasis)
Al-Zahrawi, also known as Abulcasis, was a pioneering medieval Islamic surgeon from Spain (936-1013 AD). He authored the influential medical book *Al-Tasrif*, which outlined surgical techniques, tools, and treatments used at the time. Often called the "father of modern surgery," his work introduced innovative instruments, wound management methods, and surgical procedures that laid the foundation for future medical advancements.
