Advanced Sleep Phase Syndrome

Advanced Sleep Phase Syndrome (ASPS) is a sleep disorder where a person's internal body clock is shifted earlier than normal. Individuals with ASPS often feel very sleepy in the early evening and wake up in the early morning, often before sunrise. This can make it difficult to maintain a typical social or work schedule. While it can be frustrating, it's important to note that ASPS is a recognized condition and can be managed with proper sleep hygiene and, in some cases, light therapy or behavioral adjustments, to help align sleep patterns with daily life demands.
