Advanced Placement (AP)
Advanced Placement (AP) is a program developed by the College Board that offers high school students college-level courses in various subjects. These courses are designed to challenge students and deepen their understanding beyond standard classes. At the end of an AP course, students can take a standardized exam, and high scores may earn them college credit or advanced placement in college courses. AP courses help students demonstrate academic rigor, strengthen their college applications, and sometimes reduce future college coursework and costs.
