AP Capstone
AP Capstone is an advanced placement program designed for high school students that focuses on developing critical thinking, research, and communication skills. It consists of two main courses: AP Seminar and AP Research. In AP Seminar, students explore real-world issues and work on collaborative projects, while AP Research requires them to conduct a year-long independent study on a topic of their choosing. This program allows students to engage deeply with content, preparing them for college-level coursework and enhancing their analytical abilities. Completing AP Capstone can also lead to the AP Capstone Diploma, demonstrating academic rigor to colleges.
