
Abdul Ghaffar Khan (Bacha Khan)
Abdul Ghaffar Khan, also known as Bacha Khan, was an influential Indian independence activist and a prominent leader in the Indian freedom struggle against British colonial rule. Born in 1890 in what is now Pakistan, he promoted non-violent resistance and was a close associate of Mahatma Gandhi. Bacha Khan founded the Khilafat Movement and established schools to promote education and social reform among the Pashtun people. He emphasized peace, unity, and the importance of non-violent protest. His legacy continues to inspire movements for social justice and non-violent resistance in South Asia and beyond. He passed away in 1988.
