15th (King's) Light Dragoons
The 15th (King's) Light Dragoons was a cavalry regiment of the British Army, originally formed in 1759. Light dragoons were fast-moving troops, often used for scouting, skirmishing and rapid attacks. This regiment distinguished itself in various conflicts, including the Napoleonic Wars and the Crimean War. Known for their agility and effective use of horses, they played a crucial role in battle tactics of the time. The 15th became a part of the Royal Armoured Corps post-World War II and holds a proud legacy as part of the British military tradition. It was ultimately disbanded in 1956.
