The Zuni Reservation is a Native American territory located in western New Mexico, primarily inhabited by the Zuni Pueblo people. Established in the 19th century, it covers approximately 455 square miles and reflects the Zuni's rich cultural heritage, including their unique language, traditions, and arts, especially pottery and jewelry. The community is organized around a traditional way of life that emphasizes spirituality, agriculture, and communal living. The Zuni Reservation is also home to the Zuni Tribal Government, which oversees local affairs and seeks to promote economic development and cultural preservation for the tribe.
