Zoning Board of Appeals

A Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA) is a local government entity responsible for reviewing requests from individuals or businesses seeking exceptions to zoning laws. Zoning laws regulate land use, determining what can be built and where. When someone wants to do something that doesn’t comply with these laws, they can appeal to the ZBA for a variance.
