Zenker's diverticulum symptoms
Zenker's diverticulum is a pouch that forms in the throat just above the esophagus. It can cause symptoms like difficulty swallowing, as food gets stuck in the pouch, leading to sensation of fullness or choking. People may also experience regurgitation of undigested food, bad breath, coughing, or a feeling of a lump in the neck. These symptoms often worsen over time and may impact eating and swallowing comfort. If suspected, medical evaluation is important to confirm diagnosis and determine appropriate treatment.
