Yezidism
Yezidism is a monotheistic faith practiced mainly by the Yazidi people in the Middle East, particularly Iraq. It combines elements of ancient Mesopotamian religion, Christianity, and Islam, emphasizing the worship of one God and reverence for a central figure, Melek Taus, the Peacock Angel. Yazidis follow unique rituals, celebrate specific festivals, and have a rich oral tradition. Their religion places importance on morality, community, and respect for nature. Despite facing persecution, Yazidis maintain their distinct identity and spiritual practices, which they consider sacred and central to their culture and history.
