Yellow Ribbon Program
The Yellow Ribbon Program is a provision of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs that helps veterans and their dependents afford higher education. It allows colleges and universities to voluntarily enter agreements with the VA to fund tuition and fees that exceed the maximum limits of the Post-9/11 GI Bill. Under this program, institutions can contribute additional financial support, often covering the gap for out-of-state or private school tuition. This initiative aims to improve access to education for veterans, ensuring they receive the benefits necessary for a successful transition to civilian life.
