Xerophyte

A xerophyte is a plant adapted to survive in environments with very little water, such as deserts or dry areas. It has specialized features like thick, waxy coatings to reduce water loss, deep root systems to access underground moisture, and reduced leaf surface area to minimize evaporation. These adaptations help xerophytes conserve water during droughts and extreme dryness, allowing them to thrive where many other plants cannot survive. Examples include cacti, succulent plants, and certain types of grasses. Their unique traits enable them to endure harsh, arid conditions effectively.
