Windows Silverlight

Windows Silverlight was a framework developed by Microsoft to create rich internet applications, similar to Adobe Flash. It allowed developers to build interactive, multimedia-rich websites and applications that could run on various platforms with the help of a small browser plug-in. Silverlight supported graphics, animations, and video playback, enabling a better user experience. However, due to the rise of HTML5 and changing web standards, Silverlight's popularity declined, and Microsoft officially ended support for it in 2021. As a result, it is now largely considered outdated technology.
