
William H. Masters
William H. Masters was an American gynecologist and sexologist known for his pioneering research on human sexuality. Along with his research partner, Virginia Johnson, he conducted groundbreaking studies in the 1950s and 1960s that explored the physiological responses involved in sexual activity. Their work resulted in the development of the Masters and Johnson approach to sex therapy, which focused on enhancing sexual function and intimacy in relationships. Their influential book, "Human Sexual Response," challenged societal norms and contributed significantly to the understanding of sexual health, therapy, and education.
