Wild Boar
The wild boar is a robust, adaptable mammal native to Europe, Asia, and North Africa. Recognizable by its sturdy build, coarse bristly hair, and prominent tusks, it is an ancestor of domestic pigs. Wild boars are highly intelligent and social animals, often forming groups called sounders. They have a keen sense of smell and are omnivorous, eating a variety of plants, roots, small animals, and even carrion. Known for their agility and strength, they can be encountered in forests, grasslands, and wetlands, where they play a critical role in ecosystem dynamics through their foraging behavior.
