Whirlpool

A whirlpool is a powerful, rotating mass of water formed when currents, tides, or obstructions create a spiral of water that pulls in surrounding fluid. These natural phenomena often occur in oceans, rivers, or lakes, especially where different water levels or directions meet. They can vary in size from small, harmless eddies to large, destructive vortices like those seen in stormy seas. Whirlpools result from the principles of fluid dynamics, where water’s movement and forces combine to produce a circular, spinning motion that can draw objects or boats toward the center.
