Wheatstone bridge

A Wheatstone bridge is a precise electrical circuit used to measure unknown resistance. It consists of four resistors arranged in a diamond shape, with a battery connected across two opposite corners and a sensitive detector across the other two. By adjusting known resistances until the detector shows no current flow, the unknown resistance can be accurately calculated using a simple ratio. It’s widely used in labs for accurate resistance measurements and sensor calibrations, relying on the principle that when the bridge is balanced, the ratio of resistances in one branch equals that in the other.
