
Wendy Kopp
Wendy Kopp is an American education activist and the founder of Teach For America (TFA), a non-profit organization established in 1989 aimed at addressing educational inequity in the United States. TFA recruits recent college graduates to teach in underserved schools for two years, with the goal of improving educational outcomes and inspiring long-term commitment to equity in education. Kopp's work has spurred national conversations about teaching quality and the challenges faced by students in low-income communities. She has also authored a book, "One Day, All Children: The Unlikely Triumph of Teach For America and What I Learned Along the Way."
