Weil's Disease

Weil's Disease is a severe form of leptospirosis, an infection caused by bacteria found in water contaminated with animal urine. Symptoms can include high fever, headaches, chills, muscle aches, and jaundice (yellowing of the skin and eyes). If not treated promptly, it can lead to serious complications involving the liver, kidneys, or other organs. The disease is often linked to exposure in floodwaters or during outdoor activities in natural water sources. Preventative measures include avoiding contact with potentially contaminated water and wearing protective clothing when necessary. Early diagnosis and antibiotic treatment are crucial for recovery.
