Wave Functions

Wave functions are mathematical tools used in quantum physics to describe the behavior of tiny particles like electrons. Instead of defining a precise location, a wave function provides information about the likelihood of finding a particle in a particular area. Think of it as a map of probabilities: where the wave function is large, the particle is more likely to be found, and where it is small, less likely. This concept reflects the fundamental nature of particles at tiny scales, where certainty about position and momentum cannot both be precisely known.
