Wardrop's Equilibrium
Wardrop's Equilibrium describes a situation in which no individual driver can reduce their travel time by choosing a different route. Essentially, at this point, all used routes between the same start and end points have equal travel times, and no one has an incentive to switch routes. It's a concept used to understand traffic flow, indicating a stable state where traffic distributes itself efficiently without any driver having a reason to change their path. This equilibrium helps city planners analyze and improve traffic systems by predicting how drivers naturally distribute themselves across available routes.
