War of the Fourth Coalition
The War of the Fourth Coalition (1806-1807) was a conflict between Napoleon Bonaparte's France and a coalition of Prussia, Russia, Saxony, Sweden, and Britain. Napoleon aimed to expand French influence across Europe. The coalition sought to resist French dominance, but France quickly defeated Prussia at the Battle of Jena-Auerstedt, turning the tide. Russia was then defeated at Friedland, leading to the Treaties of Tilsit in 1807, which temporarily aligned Russia and France. The war significantly reshaped Europe, establishing French dominance and shifting balance of power during the Napoleonic era.
