Walter's Law

Walter's Law, also known as the Law of Bioenergetics, describes how energy flows through ecosystems and influences the distribution of species. It states that in a given area, the variety of organisms grows as you move from the poles to the equator. This is due to warmer temperatures, which support more energy and resources, allowing for greater biodiversity. Essentially, as environments become more favorable, the number and variety of living organisms increase, resulting in more complex ecosystems near the equator compared to polar regions.
