Walter De Maria

Walter De Maria was an influential American artist, known for his large-scale installations and contributions to minimalism and land art. Born in 1935, he created works that emphasized the relationship between art, nature, and the environment. One of his most famous pieces, "The Lightning Field," consists of 400 stainless steel poles arranged in a remote New Mexico landscape, designed to interact dramatically with the natural light and weather.
