Wally Lewis

Wally Lewis is a former Australian rugby league player, widely regarded as one of the sport's greatest halfbacks. Born in 1959, he played primarily for the Brisbane Rugby League and represented Queensland in State of Origin matches, where he was known for his exceptional skill and leadership. Lewis earned the nickname "The King," reflecting his dominance on the field during the 1980s and early 1990s. He also captained the Australian national team and played in several international tournaments.
