Walker Circulation

Walker Circulation is a climate pattern in the tropical Pacific Ocean involving the movement of air and water. Warm surface water and air flow from east to west along the equator, causing rain and thunderstorms in the western Pacific and Australia. This airflow then rises, moves eastward at high altitudes, cools, and sinks in the eastern Pacific near South America, creating dry conditions there. This circulation helps regulate global weather patterns and is influenced by phenomena like El Niño and La Niña, which can disrupt or strengthen these flows, impacting climate worldwide.
