Wabanaki Two-Spirit Alliance

The Wabanaki Two-Spirit Alliance is an organization focused on supporting and promoting the rights and culture of Two-Spirit individuals within the Wabanaki Confederacy, which comprises several Native American nations in Northeast North America. Two-Spirit is a term used by some Indigenous cultures to describe a person embodying both masculine and feminine qualities, often holding unique spiritual roles in their communities. The Alliance works to strengthen the visibility of Two-Spirit voices, advocate for social justice, and preserve cultural traditions, all while fostering community connections and healing.
