VRML (Virtual Reality Modeling Language)
VRML, or Virtual Reality Modeling Language, is a standard format for creating 3D graphics and environments on the internet. It allows users to explore virtual spaces, interact with objects, and experience immersive simulations directly in a web browser. Developed in the 1990s, VRML uses a text-based coding structure to define shapes, colors, and behaviors of 3D models. Although it has largely been replaced by more advanced technologies like WebGL and 3D graphics libraries, VRML laid the groundwork for online 3D experiences and virtual worlds, influencing the development of more complex virtual reality applications today.
