Volunteers in Service to America

Volunteers in Service to America (VISTA) is a program dedicated to addressing poverty and supporting community development in the United States. Participants, called VISTAs, volunteer for a year or more, working alongside local organizations to build resources, provide education, and create sustainable solutions for underserved populations. Funded by the federal government and managed by the Corporation for National and Community Service, VISTA aims to empower communities by strengthening their capacity to improve residents' quality of life, fostering long-term social and economic change through volunteer-driven efforts.
