Voice Production
Voice production involves converting air from the lungs into sound through the larynx (voice box). When you speak, air travels from the lungs through the trachea to the larynx, where the vocal cords (vocal folds) come together. As air passes through, it causes the cords to vibrate, creating sound waves. The throat, mouth, and lips shape these vibrations into recognizable speech. Variations in tension, length, and airflow allow us to produce different pitches and tones, enabling us to speak, sing, and express emotions through our voice.
