Vocal cord surgery

Vocal cord surgery is a medical procedure used to treat problems with the vocal cords, such as lesions, polyps, nodules, or paralysis. During the surgery, a surgeon may remove abnormal tissue, correct paralysis, or reshape the cords to improve voice quality. The procedure can be performed using a tiny camera and specialized instruments through the mouth (microlaryngoscopy) or, in some cases, with a small incision. Recovery varies but often involves voice rest and speech therapy. The goal is to restore healthy vocal cord function and improve voice clarity while minimizing damage to surrounding tissues.
