VLF (Very Low Frequency)

VLF, or Very Low Frequency, refers to radio waves with frequencies between 3 kHz and 30 kHz. These waves have very long wavelengths, allowing them to travel long distances by following the Earth's curvature and passing through the ionosphere with minimal loss. This makes VLF useful for communicating with submarines, navigation, and scientific research. Because of their low frequency, VLF signals are less affected by weather or obstacles, providing reliable long-range communication, especially in situations where other radio waves might not reach.
