
Vladislav III of Poland
Vladislav III of Poland, also known as Vladislaus of Varna, was a 15th-century nobleman and King of Poland (1434–1444) and Hungary (1440–1444). He was a member of the Hungarian royal family and became a promising leader during turbulent times, especially in resisting Ottoman advances. His reign was marked by efforts to strengthen his kingdoms, but he died young at the Battle of Varna in 1444, fighting the Ottoman Turks. His death was a significant event, symbolizing the ongoing struggle between Christian nations and the Ottoman Empire during that period.
