VisualSLAM

Visual SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) is a technology that enables a device, like a robot or smartphone, to understand and navigate its environment using cameras. It works by capturing images to identify features, track their positions over time, and build a map of the surroundings. Simultaneously, it calculates the device’s position within that map. This process allows devices to move through unfamiliar spaces accurately without prior knowledge, supporting applications like autonomous vehicles, augmented reality, and robotic exploration. Essentially, Visual SLAM combines visual perception with spatial awareness to enable real-time navigation and mapping.
