Visible Spectrum

The visible spectrum refers to the range of electromagnetic waves that human eyes can detect, allowing us to see colors. It spans wavelengths approximately from 380 nanometers (violet) to 740 nanometers (red). Within this range, different wavelengths correspond to different colors—shorter wavelengths appear violet and blue, while longer wavelengths appear orange and red. The spectrum is part of the broader electromagnetic spectrum, which includes other types of waves like radio and X-rays. Our eyes interpret these wavelengths as visual information, enabling us to perceive the colorful world around us.
