Virtual Machine

A virtual machine (VM) is a software-based simulation of a physical computer. It runs an operating system and applications as if it were a separate, physical device, but it shares the hardware resources of a real computer, like CPU, memory, and storage, with other VMs. VMs are created using virtualization software, allowing multiple operating systems to run on a single physical machine simultaneously. They are useful for testing, development, and isolating environments, providing flexibility and efficient resource use without needing additional physical hardware.
