Viral Conjunctivitis

Viral conjunctivitis, commonly known as pink eye, is an eye infection caused by a virus. It leads to symptoms such as redness, watering, and irritation in one or both eyes. The condition is contagious and often spreads through direct contact with infected fluids, surfaces, or respiratory droplets. Symptoms typically resolve on their own within one to two weeks, but maintaining good hygiene, such as handwashing and avoiding touching the eyes, can help prevent transmission. While there’s no specific antiviral treatment, warm compresses can provide relief from discomfort.
