Villista Movement
The Villista Movement was a political and military effort led by Pancho Villa during the Mexican Revolution (1910-1920). Villa, a charismatic leader and revolutionary general, fought to address social inequalities and oppose oppressive elites. His movement aimed to land reforms, improved rights for peasants and workers, and was characterized by guerrilla warfare tactics. Although initially fighting against the government to implement reforms, Villa's forces often clashed with other revolutionary factions, shaping a turbulent period in Mexico’s history. The movement ultimately declined after Villa’s defeat and assassination, but it left a lasting impact on Mexican social and political development.
