Venusian atmosphere
Venus's atmosphere is incredibly thick and dense, composed mainly of carbon dioxide with clouds of sulfuric acid, creating an extreme greenhouse effect. This traps heat, making Venus the hottest planet in our solar system, with surface temperatures around 900°F (475°C). The atmosphere is high-pressure, about 90 times that of Earth, crushing any probes that land there. Despite being similar in size and structure to Earth, Venus's atmosphere creates a harsh, scorching environment with constant cloud cover and intense heat, making it a challenging place for exploration.
