Ventral stream

The ventral stream is a pathway in the brain that helps us recognize and identify objects, faces, and scenes by processing visual information. It runs from the back of the brain (the visual cortex) to the lower areas of the brain's temporal lobe. Think of it as the brain's "what" pathway, allowing us to understand what we are seeing—distinguishing a friend’s face, a car, or a tree. This system works together with other pathways to give us a complete understanding of our visual environment.
