Venerabilis Bede

Venerabilis Bede, known as Bede the Venerable, was an English monk and scholar from the 7th-8th centuries. He is celebrated for his extensive writings, especially "The Ecclesiastical History of the English People," which offers one of the earliest detailed accounts of early British history.
