Vascular Tissue

Vascular tissue in plants consists of specialized structures that transport water, nutrients, and food throughout the plant. There are two main types: xylem, which carries water and minerals from the roots to the leaves, and phloem, which distributes the sugars and other organic compounds made in the leaves to other parts of the plant. These tissues form a network that supports the plant’s growth and survival by ensuring vital substances reach all areas effectively. Vascular tissue is essential for maintaining the plant’s internal flow system, enabling it to grow taller, produce fruit, and adapt to its environment.
