Varuna
Varuna is a prominent celestial object located in the Kuiper Belt, a region beyond Neptune filled with icy bodies. It is classified as a dwarf planet due to its size and shape, roughly 900 kilometers (560 miles) in diameter. Varuna has a highly elongated shape and completes an orbit around the Sun approximately every 280 years. It is composed mainly of ice and rock, similar to other objects in the outer solar system. Studying Varuna helps scientists understand the composition, structure, and formation of icy bodies beyond Neptune, offering insights into the early solar system.
