Vance, Cyrus

Cyrus Vance (1917-2002) was an American lawyer and politician who served as the U.S. Secretary of State from 1977 to 1980 under President Jimmy Carter. He is known for his efforts in international diplomacy, particularly in arms control and the Camp David Accords, which helped secure a peace agreement between Israel and Egypt.
