USS Turner Joy

USS Turner Joy (DD-951) is a Fletcher-class destroyer of the United States Navy, launched in 1958 and named after Admiral Turner C. Joy. Known for its service during the Cold War, it played roles in anti-submarine warfare and naval gunfire support. The ship is also noted for its involvement in the Vietnam War, notably during the Gulf of Tonkin Incident in 1964, which escalated U.S. involvement in the war. Decommissioned in 1982, the Turner Joy is now a museum ship in Bremerton, Washington, offering visitors insights into naval history and military technology.
