Urogynaecology

Urogynaecology is a specialized area of medicine focused on the health of the female pelvic organs, particularly issues related to bladder and bowel function, and pelvic floor support. It addresses problems such as urinary incontinence (leakage), overactive bladder, pelvic organ prolapse (when organs like the bladder or uterus drop into the vagina), and other pelvic floor disorders. Urogynaecologists evaluate and treat these conditions through conservative methods, medical management, or surgical interventions, aiming to improve quality of life while preserving the function of pelvic organs.
